Terms & Conditions
Contract:
Your contract is with Twiga Expeditions (hereinafter referred to as “TO (Tour Operator)”, “we” or “us”). These terms and conditions govern all bookings made with us. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions. No individual is authorized to deviate from these terms and conditions.
Booking Procedure:
A binding contract is established between you and Twiga Expeditions when:
- We receive a deposit of 25% of the quoted price, or
- Full payment is made if the booking is made less than 20 days before your departure date.
Payment must be received before the contract becomes effective. Full payment is due 20 days prior to departure. Failure to make full payment may result in cancellation of your booking, and you may be subject to cancellation charges as outlined in paragraph 6.
Medical Conditions And Disabilities:
Please inform us of any medical conditions or disabilities that may impact your holiday when booking. We reserve the right to decline bookings or cancel them if we are unable to accommodate specific needs.
Documentation:
Carefully review all documentation provided by Twiga Expeditions upon receipt. Notify us immediately of any inaccuracies. We are not liable for any costs incurred due to inaccuracies not reported within 7 days.
Payment Terms:
Tour packages are confirmed upon receipt of a 25% deposit. Downpayment must be 50% if booked less than 45 days. Full payment is due 20 days prior to arrival. If booked less than 20 days before arrival, full payment is required.
Cancellations, Amendments And No Shows:
Cancellation must be made in writing and is effective upon receipt by Twiga Expeditions. Cancellation charges apply as outlined in the cancellation notice period.
6.1 Cancellation Notice Period
More than 60 days before departure: Penalty of 10% of the total amount
Between 60 and 30 days before departure: Penalty of 20% of the total amount
Between 29 and 15 days before departure: Penalty of 50% of the total amount
Between 14 and 7 days before departure: Penalty of 75% of the total amount
Less than 7 days before departure or no-show: Penalty of 100% of the total amount
Pricing Itineraries:
Prices are based on known costs at the date of issue. Twiga Expeditions reserves the right to levy a surcharge if costs increase, but will absorb amounts up to 2%. You may cancel without penalty if the surcharge exceeds 10% before 60 days of arrival.
Amendments By You:
Changes to your itinerary are subject to a fee depending on the amendments requested.
Cancellation By Twiga Expeditions:
We reserve the right to cancel your holiday for any reason before full payment is received. We are not liable for events beyond our control.
Amendments By Twiga Expeditions:
We reserve the right to make changes to your holiday at any time. You will be notified of any major changes.
Carriers:
Twiga Expeditions accepts no liability for issues arising from carriers, including cancellations, delays, or lost luggage.
Your Responsibility:
Ensure travel documents and vaccinations are in order. You are responsible for timely check-in and compliance with tour requirements and regulations.
Insurance:
Clients must purchase travel insurance, including medical and evacuation coverage.
Applicable Law:
This contract is governed by Tanzanian law, and Tanzanian courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
Waiver Of Claim Against Introducer:
Claims must be directed to Twiga Expeditions, not the party that referred you.
Problems:
Report any problems during your holiday to the relevant organizer and Twiga Expeditions for resolution.
Baggage:
Clients are responsible for their baggage. Twiga Expeditions does not accept liability for loss or damage.
Risk:
Clients accept inherent risks associated with safaris and strenuous activities.
Authority On Tour:
The decisions of Twiga Expeditions’ guide/driver are final. Clients must comply with laws and regulations of visited countries.
Marketing:
Twiga Expeditions may use photographs and videos for marketing purposes.
Price Changes:
Twiga Expeditions reserves the right to pass on increases in park fees and taxes to clients.
Access:
Twiga Expeditions is not responsible for road or airstrip conditions affecting travel.
Force Majeure:
Twiga Expeditions is not liable for events beyond its control.
Disputes:
Complaints must be brought to Twiga Expeditions’ attention immediately.
Consent:
Payment constitutes consent to these terms and conditions.
Website Promotions:
Bookings must be made through specified channels and are subject to availability.
